BioI am a husband and father of 2 (well, only a husband of one). My wife is beautiful, brainy, loving, and keeps the house in better order than I would (she gets to read this, right?). My children are cheerful and obedient, and I'm sure they'd say the same about me. If they could talk.
I'm a 'business development manager' at an engineering company that's fast making itself into a defense contractor. I don't particularly wish to be involved in the defense contractor part, so the businesses I develop involve creating and marketing commercial products. (Nothing against defense contractors, I'm just not interested in being one.) At the moment I'm creating a line of specialty inspection tools for the power industry. I've had the singular pleasure of developing a product from scratch and actually selling it to a person that really wanted it.
I've traveled a bit, read a lot (mostly comic books and Ayn Rand), started one company and was present for the self-destruction of another. I've got a pilot's license but haven't flown in a while. I was in college for 7 years but got two bachelors degrees and one masters degree out of the deal. I've lived in the southeast, northwest and (mostly) the northeast. But I really want to live in the southwest. I figure I ought to try all the corners.
